Position: Business Development Officer Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Officer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong sales background, excellent communication skills, and a passion for building relationships with clients. As a Business Development Officer, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, developing and maintaining relationships with clients, and promoting our services to potential clients. Key Responsibilities:Develop policies and administer programs to promote industrial and commercial business investment in urban and rural areasDesign market research questionnairesConduct social or economic surveys on local, regional or national areas to assess development potential and future trendsPlan development projects and coordinate activities with representatives of a wide variety of industrial and commercial enterprises, community and business associations and government agenciesAssess business opportunities and develop strategies to attract venture capitalRespond to enquiries from members of the business community and general public concerning development opportunitiesReview and evaluate commercial or industrial development proposals and provide advice on procedures and requirements for government approvalConduct surveys and analyze data on the buying habits and preferences of wholesale or retail consumersEvaluate customer service and store environmentsConduct research on consumers, competitors and the market place to identify trends to optimize marketing strategies for industrial and commercial productsAnalyze promotional and marketing campaigns to identify improvementsDevelop social and economic profiles of urban and rural areas to encourage industrial and commercial investment and development.Prepare reports, research papers, educational texts or articlesDevelop and apply E-commerce strategiesProvide consultation on planning and starting of new businesses. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field - Minimum of 2 years of experience in a sales or business development role, preferably in the staffing industry - Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets - Strong communication and negotiation skills - Excellent time management and organizational skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM software - Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for travel to client meetings If you are passionate about sales and have a drive to succeed, we want to hear from you Apply now to become a part of our team and help us continue to deliver top-quality staffing solutions to our clients in Vancouver and beyond.
