Job DescriptionWe are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager, Food Services for Milton District Hospital and Georgetown Hospital in Halton Hills, Canada. This is a temporary role to cover a maternity leave for approximately 10 months.  The ideal candidate will lead our food services team in delivering high-quality, nutritious meals to patients, staff, and visitors while ensuring efficient operations and compliance with health and safety standards.Oversee daily food service operations, including meal planning, preparation, and deliveryDevelop and implement menu cycles that meet nutritional guidelines and patient dietary requirementsManage and train food service staff, fostering a positive work environment and promoting teamworkEnsure compliance with food safety regulations, health codes, and hospital policiesControl food and labor costs through effective budgeting, inventory management, and staff schedulingCollaborate with healthcare professionals to meet patients' nutritional needs and dietary restrictionsImplement and maintain quality assurance programs to ensure high standards of food quality and customer satisfactionCoordinate with other hospital departments to streamline food service operations and enhance patient careAnalyze and report on key performance indicators to continuously improve food service efficiency and effectivenessAddress and resolve customer complaints and concerns in a timely and professional mannerQualificationsDiploma in Food Service & Nutrition ManagementMinimum of 5 years of experience in food service management in a healthcare settingCurrent Food Safety Certification (e.g., ServSafe)Proven track record in menu planning, budgeting, and cost controlStrong knowledge of health and safety regulations related to food service operationsExcellent leadership and team management skillsProficiency in inventory management and food service software systems (Computrition, CBORD)Outstanding problem-solving and decision-making abilitiesExceptional communication and interpersonal skillsIn-depth understanding of healthcare dietary requirements and hospital food service operationsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing prioritiesCommitment to continuous improvement and customer satisfactionAdditional InformationStatus: Temporary Full-time (Approx. 10 months)Hours: Monday to Friday - 7.5 hour day shifts; 0800 - 1600 (Hours are subject to change based on operational needs)Salary: $53.026 to $66.308 per hourDate posted: December 23, 2025Internal applications due by: December 30, 2025REF3049RHalton Healthcare is an equal opportunity employer who is committed to integrating diversity, equity and inclusion throughout our operations, policies and culture.
