The Key Account Manager, Reach Grocery (KAM, Reach Grocery) primary objective is to source, pitch, setup, execute and develop new grocery customers to expand Red Bulls customer reach. The KAM, Reach Grocery will specifically be focused on generating new profitable business within Grocery Channel.Key Responsibilities include: developing strategic business relationships with new Grocery Channel partners and existing customers. Expanding reach and points of sale where Red Bull can be sold through establishing and maintaining distribution. Implementing channel strategies, coordinating sales objectives, effectively managing budgets, executing national programs, and 360 marketing efforts with their sales, marketing and distribution counterparts.RESPONSIBILITIESAreas that play to your strengthsAll the responsibilities we'll trust you with:Utilizes a strong understanding of relevant Grocery Channels, to source viable “new business” opportunities to expand reach and distribution of Red Bull.Ongoing identification of new customer opportunities, lead generation, sales call preparation, meetings to pitch & close new business.Strong negotiation and sales skills, capable of selling to both field level and regional head officesProvides ongoing account maintenance and regional channel directionBuilds clear, concise, and actionable recaps for Red Bull Canada’s HQ Creates ‘best-in-class’ expectations with regards to distribution, visibility, and pricingEnsures new account growth plans & KPI goals are planned out by distributor by channel for each yearManages the monthly results vs sales targets, budget, and ROIWorks with Distribution Managers (DPMs)/Distribution Partners (DPs) and Field teams on all new business opportunities to establish optimal service frequency implementationClear and collaborative planning/communication between Red Bull Canada’s distribution department regarding DSD routes to marketIdentifies and outlines promotional tactics by customer and initiativeExecutes national and regional promotions across all customersCreates synergies between sales & marketing through coordinated sampling efforts with Field MarketingParticipate in regional team’s 360 planning/marketing direction Analyze performances, identify optimizations, and build recommendationsTrack and share competitors’ activityCommunicates success that can be replicated by other Retail channel team membersParticipate in monthly/quarterly Grocery Channel program communication to DPMs & DPs, Field teams and Red Bull CanadaAssist DPMs in building DP capabilities across key Grocery Channel customersManages and tracks results monthly for channel specific and external reportingShares best practices with customers in an effort to duplicate success in similar accountsBuilds collaborative business plans with key stakeholders within the Red Bull Canada framework (Insights, Field Marketing, Communications, Digital Marketing, Sport Marketing, Regulatory, eCommerce)Regular business updates and analysis with Director of Multi-ChannelParticipates and drives regional data for distributor meetings in regards to Grocery Channels sales insightsMinimum 3-5 years sales experience in Off-Premise/Key Accounts/Business Development/DistributionIn-depth knowledge of the CPG industry and tradeBachelor’s Degree requiredExperience and success in driving new business developmentStrong self-starter who takes initiative and has a real passion to winCreative solutions oriented mindsetExceptional communication skills, including presenting, negotiating, and training abilities.Strong planning and project management competenciesMust be extremely proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPointBilingual (English/French) preferred.
