Key Account Manager, Grocery – Red Bull Join to apply for the Key Account Manager, Grocery role at Red Bull. The Key Account Manager, Reach Grocery (KAM, Reach Grocery) primary objective is to source, pitch, setup, execute, and develop new grocery customers to expand Red Bull's customer reach. The KAM will specifically focus on generating new profitable business within the Grocery Channel. Key Responsibilities Develop strategic business relationships with new Grocery Channel partners and existing customers. Expand reach and points of sale where Red Bull can be sold through establishing and maintaining distribution. Implement channel strategies, coordinate sales objectives, effectively manage budgets, execute national programs, and 360 marketing efforts with their sales, marketing, and distribution counterparts. Business Development Utilize a strong understanding of relevant Grocery Channels to source viable “new business” opportunities and expand reach and distribution of Red Bull. Identify new customer opportunities, generate leads, prepare sales calls, and pitch & close new business. Negotiate and sell to both field level and regional head offices. Provide ongoing account maintenance and regional channel direction. Build clear, concise, and actionable recaps for Red Bull Canada’s HQ. Sales & Distribution Strategy Development & Execution Create ‘best-in-class’ expectations with regard to distribution, visibility, and pricing. Plan new account growth plans & KPI goals by distributor and channel each year. Manage monthly results versus sales targets, budget, and ROI. Work with Distribution Managers, Distribution Partners, and Field teams on new business opportunities to establish optimal service frequency implementation. Plan and communicate collaboratively with Red Bull Canada’s distribution department regarding DSD routes to market. Promotions Identify and outline promotional tactics by customer and initiative. Execute national and regional promotions across all customers. Create synergies between sales & marketing through coordinated sampling efforts with Field Marketing. Participate in regional team’s 360 planning & marketing direction. Develop & Share Best Practices Analyze performances, identify optimizations, and build recommendations. Track and share competitors’ activity. Communicate success that can be replicated by other Retail channel team members. Participate in monthly/quarterly Grocery Channel program communication to Distribution Managers, Distribution Partners, Field teams and Red Bull Canada. Assist Distribution Managers in building partner capabilities across key Grocery Channel customers. Manage and track results monthly for channel specific and external reporting. Share best practices with customers in order to duplicate success in similar accounts. Ways of Working Build collaborative business plans with key stakeholders within the Red Bull Canada framework (Insights, Field Marketing, Communications, Digital Marketing, Sport Marketing, Regulatory, eCommerce). Provide regular business updates and analysis with the Director of Multi-Channel. Participate and drive regional data for distributor meetings regarding Grocery Channels sales insights. Your areas of knowledge and expertise Minimum 3-5 years sales experience in Off-Premise/Key Accounts/Business Development/Distribution In-depth knowledge of the CPG industry and trade Bachelor’s Degree required Experience and success in driving new business development Strong self-starter who takes initiative and has a real passion to win Creative solutions-oriented mindset Exceptional communication skills, including presenting, negotiating, and training abilities. Strong planning and project management competencies Must be extremely proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint Bilingual (English/French) preferred; English-speaking candidate with French as an asset will also be considered.
