Job DescriptionFor this entry-level, salaried position we are seeking a service-oriented, detail-focused Tools and Equipment Tech/Administrative support person to our Tools and Equipment Coordinator(s) in keeping our construction sites running smoothly. This role is ideal for someone that is mechanically inclined with a background in construction or industrial setting who understands tools and equipment and their importance to the success of the project. This individual can identify them easily, comfortable completing minor repairs while completing tracking and rental paperwork as required .You’ll play a key role in organizing, tracking, and distributing tools and equipment across projects, while ensuring accurate records and excellent service to our field teams. This roll also entails traveling within all 6 districts covering vacation and designated time off, ensuring all sites are receiving their rentals on time and in good working order.What You’ll DoProvide efficient, customer-focused support to project teams, ensuring their tool and equipment needs are met quickly and accuratelyAssist with shipping and receiving of tools and materials to and from job sitesSupport electronic processing of rental and sales contractsCoordinate tool repairs, rentals, deliveries, pickups, and maintenancePerform tool repairs and assist with ongoing equipment maintenanceMaintain accurate records of receipts, rentals, transfers, and inventoryHelp complete and track vehicle inspection reportsCollaborate with the Tools and Equipment Coordinator, warehouse staff, superintendents, and project managers to reconcile inventory discrepanciesQualifications2+ years of experience in the construction industry or a related industrial environmentStrong service orientation with a focus on meeting customer needs efficientlyProven ability to handle detailed administrative work with accuracy and consistencyBackground in delivery, tool service/maintenance, or warehouse operationsSolid knowledge of construction tools and equipment—how they are used, maintained, and repairedFamiliarity with maintenance schedules, rental contracts, and manufacturer guidelinesHands-on ability to assist with basic tool repairs and organizationWillingness to work both indoors and outdoors, including in varying weather conditionsFlexibility to travel as required (no more than 18 weeks per year) and work occasional weekends/eveningsAdditional InformationWhy Chandos?At Chandos, we’re proud to be an equal opportunity employer committed to building a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace—starting with how we hire.
