To apply, please send your resume to christina.bang@randstad.ca today AdvantagesIn this Bookkeeper role you will have the following benefits:- 6 months contract to permanent opportunity based on performance and fit. - Competitive pay range between $27-30 depending on experience.- Optional benefits plan with Securian for Health, Dental, and Life Insurance.- Udemy - free online professional training to enhance your skills.ResponsibilitiesIn this Bookkeeper role, you will be responsible for the following: - Maintain accurate financial records by recording all financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.- Reconcile bank statements and accounts payable/receivable on a regular basis to ensure accuracy and completeness.- Prepare and process invoices, receipts, payments, and other financial documents.- Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure timely payments and collections.- Assist with payroll processing, including calculating hours, preparing pay stubs, and remitting payroll taxes.- Prepare financial reports, such as income statements and balance sheets, on a regular basis for management review.- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures, including journal entries and reconciliations.- Maintain confidentiality of financial information and comply with all relevant accounting regulations and procedures.- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external vendors to resolve any discrepancies or issues.- Assist with ad-hoc financial projects and tasks as assigned by management.QualificationsWe are looking for the following for this Bookkeeper role: - Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience across all aspects of the function including Canadian payroll. - A bachelor’s degree in either business administration or accounting is preferred. - Experience working with ERP systems in an accounting/ finance setting is required.- Experience working within a smaller organization or a start-up environment will be very helpful. - Ability to be flexible with responsibilities and changes within the work place. - Ability to work on-site in Orangeville is required. - Excellent communication skills is required.
