Reports To: Lead, Accounting About the Team: A sub-team under the Finance team, the Accounting team includes accounts payable, accounts receivable, revenue, expenses, month end close process. About the Role: As the Accountant I, you will provide support to the financial department by processing daily accounting tasks and working with a variety of business units within Chrysalis’ suite of companies. This role plays an integral part of the monthly financial closings. What You’ll Be Doing Maintain all company accounts payables inboxes; reviewing, processing, responding to and organizing all emails and requests received Post accounts payable invoices, ensuring proper approvals are received, proper classification of expenses, cost center allocations are correct Review vendor aging, working with cash management to ensure payments are processed in a timely manner Ensuring proper documentation and processes are followed for purchase requests and orders Perform journal entries for intercompany accounts Processing employee expenditure reports Assisting with monthly closings; including providing insight and analysis regarding normal monthly cycles Assisting with audit requests in a timely manner Assisting with implementation of accounting automation solutions, including close management, AP automation and expense audit Assist the billing lead as necessary Performing other related duties as required Prepare AppleCare weekly payment and remittance details What We’re Looking For: Appropriate experience in core accounting functions is a firm requirement and priority will be given to candidates with accounting certificates/diplomas/degrees and/or plans to further their accounting education Functional, working knowledge of Core ERP Software including Accounts Payable, Purchase Orders, General Ledger, Fixed Assets, and Financial Reporting; experience with NetSuite would be considered an asset Functional, working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook Ability to time manage with efficiency in a fast-paced, demanding environment Ability to make quick and firm decisions Skills working between different teams Detail and control oriented What We Offer: Begin your journey with a competitive starting salary Enjoy peace of mind with a comprehensive benefits package for you and your entire family.
