We are seeking an experienced Banquet Captain with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a luxury hotel environment to lead and execute flawless meetings, conferences, weddings, and special events. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING Lead and oversee banquet service during meetings, conferences, weddings, and special events Act as the primary on-floor contact during events, ensuring timelines and service standards are met Supervise, support, and coach leads and banquet servers to ensure consistent execution Maintain strong knowledge of food and beverage offerings, including ingredients and preparation methods Coordinate closely with culinary and events teams to ensure smooth event flow Set up, strike, and maintain event spaces according to event orders and hotel standards Maintain a polished appearance and professional demeanor at all times Assist in other food and beverage outlets as required WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Banquet Captain or senior banquet server in a 4-star or luxury hotel Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to service excellence Physically able to lift and move up to 40 lbs and stand or walk for extended periods COMPENSATION Competitive hourly wage plus gratuities Total compensation reflects senior banquet leadership roles in full-service hotels COMPANY BENEFITS (For full-time employees working 26+ hours per week) Transit discount program Company affiliate discounts, including: Revelstoke Mountain Resort season passes and lift tickets Grouse Mountain annual discounts Sutton Place & Sandman Hotels Friends and Family Program Dell computer discounts TELUS phone and data plans Samsung electronics Serta and Sealy mattress discounts Requirements: Work Permit
