  • Develop, build, and maintain relationships with organizations within the mining & minerals sector, with prime focus on Uranium and critical minerals

Key Responsibilities:

  • As part of the leadership team, determine areas of growth within the Mining & Minerals sector, provide input into the objectives of the organization, make recommendations regarding policies, procedures, plans, standards, processes, and practices
  • Participate in organizational goal-setting and strategic planning processes
  • Ensure the confidentiality and security of clients, employees, the Company, other organizations, and proprietary information
  • Primarily responsible for leading the following services of March’s business:
  • Scoping Studies
  • Trade-off Studies
  • Pre-Feasibility Studies
  • Detailed Feasibility Studies
  • Qualified/Competent Person’s Reports (NI 43-101 Technical Reports)
  • External reviews at any stage of a project
  • Technical support for specific project needs
  • Specialist staffing for the Owner’s team
  • Prepare relevant update reports for the Board of Directors as required
  • Develop opportunities with existing clients to increase the quantity or duration of work
  • Participate with other managers to set schedules, to plan project work and to develop policies when required
  • Ensures all new projects, initiatives, and processes within the mining & mineral sector are in conformance with the organization’s established policies and objectives
  • Act as project manager or project sponsor as required and relevant, based on organizational and project needs
  • Participate in the performance management process for each team member and provide feedback as necessary
  • Ensure adherence to safety regulations
  • Nurture an internal project culture of open and honest communication

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required; an advanced Engineering degree at a post grad level is preferred
  • An MBA or similar business experience would be considered an asset
  • 15+ years of experience in a similar role within the engineering consulting or equivalent industry
  • Experience in the mining industry is required
  • Good understanding of key financial indicators
  • Proven experience leading a multidisciplinary engineering team
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills are required in order to be successful with the leadership and business development responsibilities of this position
  • Extensive experience in the mining engineering discipline, including supervisory experience, is required
  • Experience in industrial work with brown & green field is considered an asset
  • Ability to work effectively within a cross-functional team environment

Compensation: Commensurate with education and experience.
