Your Opportunity:

You are comfortable working independently and as part of a team, you can develop and maintain positive working relationships with your colleagues and other healthcare professionals you may interact with. You have good judgement and decision-making skills and will conduct yourself according to the Alberta Health Services Code of Conduct and the APL Values of Kindness, Inclusion, Innovation, Agility, and Accuracy. This position is 7 on and 7 off rotation. Friday -Thursday between 1115-1915 hours and every second Saturday-Sunday between 0715-1530 hours

Description:

As a Medical Laboratory Assistant I, you will provide high quality service to clients of the clinical laboratory in an effective, efficient and safe manner. You will be responsible for a variety of laboratory functions including procurement, handling, processing, dispatching and testing of specimens, performing procedures and reporting results.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Previous Phlebotomy experience and ECG certification

Preferred Qualifications:

At least 2 years of recent phlebotomy experience ECG experience
