Role Summary:

As a Shop Floor Planner, you will be part of a team that coordinates resources to support the master schedule, keeping it live and relevant to maximize production resources and avoid product expiration of critical starting materials. This role involves monitoring the progress of 3PL inbound and outbound logistics for materials with short expiry and communicating internally to the Hamilton site regarding impact on real-time logistics and delivery of these critical materials. Interaction with Manufacturing, QA, QC, Facilities & Engineering, project managers, and department managers is required to ensure that logistics activities do not impact patient collection or treatment of these therapies. This position is site-based in Hamilton, Ontario, with work hours supporting a facility that operates 24/7/365.

Responsibilities:
  • Plan and prioritize operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay.
  • Understand the basics of international border transfers.
  • Assign work to open resources and assets and communicate to the site (Production Scheduling).
  • Schedule shift meetings according to production needs.
  • Address issues as they arise aiming for minimum disruption.
  • Coordinate production workflow for one or multiple products.
  • Take action based on output of scheduling tools and other business systems and applications.
  • Follow OmniaBio’s policies, standard operating procedures, and GMP documentation, adhering to Good Documentation Practices (GDPs).
  • Collaborate with all teams (QA, QC, Warehouse, Manufacturing, F&E, Accounts Payable, etc.) to ensure the schedule stays current and poses no risks to patients.
  • Adopt the OmniaBio Operating Model and embrace a continuous improvement approach to all work activities.
Qualifications:
  • 4-year college program plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong English written and verbal communication skills.
  • Prior work in an ERP and other resource planning tools such as SAP is a plus.
  • Experience working with manufacturing teams.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
  • Experience in scenario planning.
