What You'll Do

As the Area Sales & Key Accounts Manager, you will:

  • Health & Safety: Demonstrate a strong commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to safety policies in all work environments/areas, including with employees, contractors, and site visitors. Attend safety meetings when available, take ownership of new safety initiatives, and implement them across the company. Ensure that both proactive and reactive safety initiatives are completed in a timely manner on all project sites.
  • Guide and Empower: Support, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales team to exceed revenue, market share, and customer satisfaction goals.
  • Plan for Success: Craft and implement strategies aligned with the Southwest Area Commercial Strategy to optimize sales and profitability while keeping a customer-first approach.
  • Foster Relationships: Build strong, trust-based connections with key customers by understanding their needs and delivering tailored, value-driven solutions.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with operations, finance, and other internal teams to ensure a seamless customer experience and drive operational success.
  • Evaluate and Plan: Use market insights and data to assess opportunities, forecast sales, and create actionable strategies for growth and efficiency.

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a collaborative, forward-thinking professional who values teamwork, creativity, and results. The ideal candidate brings:

  • Experience: 5–7 years in progressive sales and/or operational roles, with a proven track record of achieving goals.
  • Leadership Skills: A strong ability to support, coach, and grow teams to achieve shared objectives.
  • Education: An undergraduate degree in Business Administration or a related field; an MBA or similar qualification is a plus.
  • Customer Focus: A keen understanding of customer needs and the ability to deliver tailored solutions that create value.
  • Strategic Thinking: An ability to assess market trends and develop strategies that drive success.
  • Tech Savviness: Familiarity with tools like Salesforce to drive structure, planning, and accountability in the sales process.

About The Role

This role involves:

  • Sales Scope: Managing 185k M³ in sales, with a revenue target of $35M-$40M.
  • Team Management: Leading a team of three direct reports across six plants in Southwestern Ontario.
  • Customer Base: Engaging with :200 accounts, ranging from key clients to prospective partners.
