Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring an Associate Category Development Manager, Hardware on a permanent basis on our Home & Building Solutions (HABS) team. This position is a hybrid opportunity and is based in Saskatoon, SK.

What you’ll do:

  • Provide leadership in working with Category Managers to build category strategy, develop sales opportunities, inventory management. Communicating opportunities to the Home and Building Solutions Senior Managers (B2B and B2C).
  • Expand business intelligence & analytics, engage with stakeholders to enhance & design reporting, build KPIs, and foster data driven decision making within Category Management team.
  • Support FCL’s sustainability & ethical sourcing initiatives, coordinate HABS efforts to achieve goals, engage suppliers on reporting & development for related projects.
  • Lead the development and implementation of a long-term (3-5 years) internal Import Strategy that aligns with HABS overall business strategy
  • Lead Category Managers and the marketing team on import products and programs such as purchasing items and creating marketing programs on categories; prompt final decisions regarding these initiatives and ensures these decisions are executed.


Who you’ll work with:

The Team: You will directly lead Category Manager – Livestock & Farm Hardware, work closely with the entire Category Management and Category Management Specialists teams, and will report into the Senior Manager, B2C. This team strives to cultivate a culture of collaboration, expertise, and results.

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in Sales & Marketing and:

  • Have 8+ years of relevant progressively responsible experience in developing and executing category management principles for a consumer product program.
  • Have a bachelor’s degree in commerce or business administration (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
  • Demonstrated familiarity with all aspects of the supply chain is required.
  • Import experience is considered an asset.
