Regional Manager (Aviation Fuel Systems)

Aviation Ground Fueling Technologies (AGFT) provides leading edge aviation fueling parts, systems and solutions across Canada. Our AGFT Edmonton location is seeking an experienced Manager to support our diverse operations in Western Canada (BC, AB, SK, MB).

Main Functions:
Reporting to the president, the Regional Manager, West (BC, AB, SK, MB) is responsible for the strategic direction and leadership for the overall operations, which includes staff and service operations.

Responsibilities:

  1. Achieving business goals and revenue targets of assigned region.
  2. Developing and implementing business, marketing, and advertising plans.
  3. Managing internal and external stakeholder relations and negotiating contracts.
  4. Planning, evaluating, and optimizing operations to be efficient and cost effective.
  5. Lead the recruitment, onboarding, and training of all staff in assigned region.
  6. Execute the expansion of the business in new and existing markets by proactively pursuing business opportunities and selling products and services throughout Canada.
  7. Provide advice, guidance and direction as it relates to the company’s fuelling parts, systems and solutions operations.
  8. Develop system quotes for aviation fuel parts, service, and supply systems; provide special pricing for key clients.
  9. Perform project management activities related to refuelling systems and equipment.
  10. Perform sales and service calls, including installations and fabrications of refuelling systems.
  11. Manage the day-to-day operations of assigned region.
  12. Assist the president with budgeting for systems and projects.
  13. Assist the president in implementing and supporting corporate policies and procedures.
  14. Perform project administration duties as required.
  15. Maintain a tidy and orderly work area exhibiting pride in work performance and contributing to a healthy and safe work environment.
  16. Ensure exceptional, courteous and respectful customer service is provided at all times.
  17. Comply with and participate in the Company’s Health & Safety and Quality programs and initiatives.
  18. Perform any other duties as required.

Qualifications and Experience:

  1. Completion of Related Technical or Business Diploma or Degree is preferred.
  2. Advanced knowledge of the aviation industry.
  3. Minimum of five years of related experience in aviation (Sales or Management).
  4. Excellent organizational, time management and negotiation skills.
  5. Demonstrates ability to lead a team and achieve results.
  6. Experience in budgeting, project management and operations.
  7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  8. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead through persuasion and influence.
  9. Works well under pressure and makes deadlines.
  10. Demonstrates relationship building skills.
  11. Entrepreneurial work ethic.
  12. Proficient with MS Office Suite of products, including word processing and spreadsheets.
  13. Able to travel (up to 25%).
  14. Able to pass a background check for access to airport facilities is required.
  15. Professional, punctual, meticulous and diligent.
  16. Able to work collaboratively as a productive member of the AGFT Team.
