The Diversified Analog Solutions team located in Ottawa, Canada is home to Skyworks' design center for RF front-end solutions: low-noise amplifiers, power amplifiers, RF switches, filters, couplers and front-end modules. We have a challenging opportunity for a university student available for a 12-month co-op term (Jan - Dec 2025). The successful candidate will report to a senior engineering mentor assigned to them, and will apply sound engineering skills to a variety of assignments in the area of electronic design engineering.

Responsibilities
  1. Perform RF test evaluation of RFICs and multi-chip modules
  2. Communicate effectively using basic RF terminology
  3. Set up and perform RF tests, evaluate and summarize test data and present data to the design team
  4. RF design support of RFICs and multi-chip modules
  5. Schematic capture, simulation, layout, verification and EM analysis
  6. Lab prototype debugging, tuning and measurement
Job Requirements
  1. Must be currently enrolled in a BSEE, MSEE or PhD degree program in Electrical Engineering
  2. Must be able and available to work on-site from Jan 2025 to Dec 2025
  3. Must have a basic knowledge of analog and RF electronic circuits and principles
  4. Must have a suitable background in RF design or concepts
  5. Must have knowledge or interest in RF test equipment and techniques
  6. Familiarity with Keysight ADS, Cadence Virtuoso or similar design tools
  7. Basic understanding of high-frequency circuit design
  8. Basic familiarity with RF circuit blocks such as LNAs and PAs
  9. Self-starter with a strong work ethic
  10. Willingness to work in a hands-on environment
  11. Strong communication and time-management skills

The typical pay range for an intern is currently CAD $25.00 - $44.00 per hour. Starting base pay will depend on level of education and the ultimate job duties and requirements.
