Senior RFIC Design Engineer Co-op

Skyworks Solutions, Inc. is seeking a skilled Co-op Engineer to collaborate with our Mobile Solutions team in developing cutting-edge RFIC designs for state-of-the-art mobile applications.

This 12-month co-op opportunity will provide the selected candidate with hands-on experience in designing and validating RFICs and multichip modules. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced engineers and subject matter experts to develop and implement innovative RFIC solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with experienced engineers to design and develop RFICs for multi-chip modules
  • Contribute to the design and verification of low noise amplifiers (LNA), RF switches, couplers, filters, and other RF components using leading RF CMOS technologies
  • Perform lab testing using RF test equipment and analyze data to guide design progression
  • Troubleshoot and resolve design or technical issues
  • Run simulations using design tools such as Cadence Virtuoso

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in an Electrical Engineering Bachelor's, Master's Degree, or PhD program
  • Strong proficiency in Excel with emphasis on data organization and presentation
  • Knowledge of RF parameters (insertion loss, return loss, s-parameters, harmonics, IMD, IIP2/3, VSWR, NF, etc.) is an asset
  • Experience in using RF equipment such as oscilloscope, VNA, spectrum analyzer, RF sources is highly preferred
  • Strong desire to learn, grow, and make an impact
  • Willing to share knowledge and work with others
