Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Oncology Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our dynamic team at Humber River Health. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide comprehensive cancer care services to patients and families, utilizing advanced practice skills and evidence-based research to inform your practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide assessment, coordination, and provision of services to patients and families, including crisis intervention and short-term management
  • Integrate best practice guidelines and current evidence-based research into clinical practice for in-patient and ambulatory clinic settings
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and make recommendations for change in consultation with the Program Director, Manager, and Physician Leader
  • Lead training, coaching, and education related to evidence-based Oncology practice and knowledge among team members
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • NP - Primary Health Care qualification
  • Adult RN(EC) preferred; Registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Minimum 3 years experience in acute oncology and systemic therapy
  • Masters degree in Nursing
  • Member of the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario, preferred
  • Oncology Nursing Certification (CNA), preferred
