Key Account Manager MedSurg: Ontario West & Manitoba - Canada

The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a Key Account Manager in our MedSurg Business Group, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  •  Strategic Relationships: Identify and build impactful and long-term strategic relationships with our key customers. Develop and execute strategies to enhance the organization’s position within the healthcare market. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive growth and achieve business objectives.

  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to align messaging, promotional efforts, and educational programs related to Key Accounts.

  • Data Analysis and Insights: Analyze market trends, utilization data, and competitive landscape to inform decision-making and identify growth opportunities. Understand GPO and contract positions to maximize opportunities and growth.

Company Vehicle

This position requires driving a company vehicle, which will require pre-employment and ongoing review of motor vehicle history for candidates who are offered and hired for this position.

Your Skills and Expertise 
 To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher AND four (4) years of sales experience in a private, public and government environment

OR

  • High School Diploma/GED AND Eight (8) years of sales experience in a private, public and government environment

AND

In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required:

  • Three (3) years of combined experience in medical devices and/or healthcare in a private, public, government, or military environment.

  • Current, valid Driver’s License.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Experience selling across the continuum of care: Acute Care, Extended Care, Home Care and other out of hospital facilities IE dialysis centers, wound care centers, home infusion.

  • Negotiation Skills.

  • Capital and consumable sales experience (leveraging SalesForce.com).

  • Ability to analyze and solve complex issues and challenges.

  • Excellent leadership and management skills with a matrix organization

  • Developing and managing relationships with key clinical decision makers including physicians, wound care nurses, physician assistants, infectious disease specialists, operating room staff, anesthesiologists, and others in the acute care setting.  

  • Creating a comprehensive territory plan to drive goals and sales quota attainment.

  • Excellent communication skills and cross-functional team collaboration with internal team members to provide best-in-class customer support.

  • Experience with MS Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.

Work location: Remote/In Sales Territory of Ontario West and travel to Manitoba

Travel: 50% day travel within territory / 20% overnight travel (for meetings)
