This is a key leadership role within a small, high-trust team supporting complex, purpose-driven work across Canada. If you enjoy autonomy, variety, and building strong systems that support meaningful impact, you’ll thrive at Four Winds.What You’ll DoThis position will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer, and collaborate with the Four Winds team, including project managers and administration, as well as external consultants to ensure the successful delivery of the below tasks. Finance & BookkeepingFull-cycle bookkeeping using QuickBooks OnlineProject-based accounting, cost tracking, and financial reportingAccounts payable and receivable, invoicing, deposits, and reconciliationsContractor, consultant, and vendor paymentsPayroll processing, including deductions, ROEs, T4s, and remittancesCRA remittances (GST/HST, payroll source deductions)Month-end reporting including cash flow, AR aging, and project summariesWork directly with external accountants on year-end and auditsSupport financial reporting for grants, contracts, and fundersOffice & AdministrationDay-to-day office coordination and administrationMaintain organized digital and financial filing systemsSupport onboarding and HR-administrative tasksMaintain contractor, consultant, and compliance filesCoordinate with project managers for billing and documentationAnswer and direct inquiries professionally (email and phone)Customer Relationship Management (CRM) set up and maintenanceWhat You Bring3+ years experience in bookkeeping or accounting (consulting or project-based environments an asset)3+ years experience in office management & administrationQuickBooks Online experience requiredStrong working knowledge of Google Sheets and or Microsoft ExcelExperience with payroll, CRA remittances, and compliance reportingHighly organized, detail-driven, and trusted with confidential informationStrong communication and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and manage multiple prioritiesExperience working with Indigenous organizations, non-profits, municipalities, or professional services is a strong assetWhat We OfferCompetitive salary: $60,000–$70,000 (based on experience)3 weeks paid vacationHybrid work flexibility after onboardingLaptop and required technology providedSupportive, respectful, and mission-driven work environmentOpportunity to grow alongside the firm and take on expanded responsibilityDirect exposure to senior leadership and strategic decision-makingWhy Join Four Winds?At Four Winds, you’re supporting work that strengthens communities, advances Indigenous governance, and builds long-term capacity.
