Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Planning and Permitting Specialist to join our team in Toronto, Canada. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the permitting and approvals process for data center development projects throughout the region.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the permitting and approvals process for data center development projects
- Conduct comprehensive assessments during due diligence, design, and construction to identify regulatory requirements and associated risks
- Coordinate with internal teams to develop integrated permitting and project delivery strategies and schedules
- Communicate key risks, mitigations, and policies to stakeholders
- Develop engagement strategies and represent clients in meetings with authorities and external stakeholders
- Own strategic relationships with regulatory agencies and government officials
- Support the development of tools and processes to improve permit delivery

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in engineering, planning, or related field
- 7+ years of experience delivering large-scale land development projects
- Experience managing permits and approvals for complex construction projects
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and high standards for quality deliverables
- Ability to travel up to 10%
- Valid Driver's License

Salary Information

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 to $180,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits and bonus potential.
