Environmental Permits and Approvals Coordinator

Webuild is a global player in the construction business with Italian roots, specializing in complex infrastructure projects that improve people's lives.
The company has won a new contract to deliver the Pape Tunnel and Underground Stations section of the Ontario Line and is seeking an Environmental Permits and Approvals Coordinator.
About the RoleThis is a full-time 100% onsite position at our downtown office, reporting directly to the Environmental Director.
The Environmental Permits and Approvals Coordinator will have defined authority for obtaining environmental Contractor Permits, Licenses, Approvals, and Agreements, ensuring compliance with project requirements.
- Manage and coordinate all aspects of Environmental Permits and Approvals.
- Coordinate with the Design Team to ensure designs meet project specifications.
- Engage with external stakeholders and government agencies to obtain necessary feedback and approvals.
- Coordinate internal and external regulatory approval processes.
- Lead relationships with external stakeholder agencies and government authorities.
- Prepare and submit plans, reports, documents, and other information required by project specifications.
- Evaluate and address environmental and sustainability issues according to project agreements.
For this role, we are looking for individuals with:
- 3-5 years of work-related experience in environmental planning, municipal planning, building, construction, and/or engineering.
- Knowledge of and experience acquiring permits, licenses, and approvals for major infrastructure and transit projects.
- A degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with specialization in urban planning, engineering, environmental studies, architecture, or a combination of education, training, and experience deemed equivalent.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, procedures, and permitting requirements.
