Fraser Health is seeking a skilled and compassionate Clinician to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our Ministry of Social Development (MSD) / Community Mental Health & Substance Use (MH&SU) Liaison Program, you will play a critical role in ensuring seamless linkage between community, MH&SU, and MSD services.

About the Role

This position requires a master's degree in Social Work, Clinical Counselling, or a relevant health-related discipline. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of recent, related experience in a community or hospital psychiatric setting, or in a rapid response crisis stabilization function. Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience will also be considered.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Functioning as a primary therapist and case manager, providing diagnostic client assessment and short-term individual therapy using various interviewing, counseling, and assessment methods.
  • Managing cases and formulating treatment plans and goals in conjunction with MSD and Mental Health and Substance Use Services staff.
  • Liaising with community resources and facilitating clients' utilization of appropriate services and programs.

You will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care and support to clients. Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to effectively network with other services and agencies, promoting seamless coordination and delivery of services.

Key Skills and Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Demonstrated counseling, client assessment, and case management skills.
  • Knowledge of mental health disorders and concurrent disorders.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Good interpersonal skills, including the ability to get along well with clients, families, and members of the interdisciplinary team.

We offer a competitive salary range of CAD $42.27 - $52.81/hour, reflecting the importance of this role in delivering high-quality patient care.
