Job Title: Inside Appraiser

As a key member of our claims service team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer experiences through property estimate assessment and evaluation, utilizing computer application aid in a desk position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring satisfaction and loyalty through effective communication and issue resolution.
  • Conduct thorough technical analysis of repair estimates with estimating software, ensuring compliance with company standards and industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with repair facilities, estimators, and adjusters to ensure accuracy and completeness of estimates.
  • Refer estimates to appropriate parties for re-inspection as required, ensuring seamless claim resolution.
  • Maintain an active production schedule and diary system to meet company service standards, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
  • Develop and maintain positive business relationships with internal and external parties, fostering a culture of collaboration and respect.
  • Maintain vigilance in detecting and preventing fraud, upholding the highest standards of integrity and ethics.
  • Support less experienced adjusting staff and appraisers as a resource person, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.
  • Stay up-to-date with legislative changes, industry trends, and estimating practices, applying this knowledge to enhance claim outcomes and customer satisfaction.
  • Perform other duties as required, contributing to the overall success of the team and the company.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of property estimating experience, with a strong understanding of estimating software (Xactimate).
  • Professional/technical designation preferred, demonstrating expertise and commitment to the field.
  • Excellent investigative and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Highly proficient time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Detail-oriented with a critical degree of accuracy, ensuring high-quality work and attention to detail.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong customer service skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional experiences and ensuring customer satisfaction.
