Job Title: Inside Appraiser

As a key member of our claims team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional service to our customers by assessing and evaluating property estimates. Utilizing advanced estimating software, you will ensure accuracy and compliance with industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide outstanding customer service, ensuring satisfaction and loyalty through effective communication and issue resolution.
  • Conduct thorough technical analysis of repair estimates, leveraging your expertise in estimating software to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Collaborate with repair facilities, estimators, and adjusters to ensure estimates are complete and accurate.
  • Refer estimates to relevant parties for re-inspection as needed, maintaining a high level of quality and attention to detail.
  • Manage your production schedule and diary system to meet company service standards, prioritizing tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Maintain a vigilant approach to detecting and preventing fraud, upholding the highest standards of integrity and ethics.
  • Support less experienced adjusting staff and appraisers as a resource person, sharing your expertise and knowledge to enhance their skills and confidence.
  • Stay up-to-date with legislative changes, industry trends, and estimating practices, applying this knowledge to improve your work and contribute to the team's success.
  • Perform other duties as required, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to excellence.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in property estimating, with a strong understanding of estimating software and industry best practices.
  • Professional or technical designation preferred, demonstrating a high level of expertise and knowledge in the field.
  • Excellent investigative and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound judgments.
  • Highly effective time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy, ensuring that estimates are thorough and complete.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong customer service skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional service and ensuring customer satisfaction.
