Nipissing University invites applications for a 10-month Limited Term Faculty Appointment in the Department of Political Science, Philosophy and Economics. This position is located in the Faculty of Arts and Science.
About the Department
The Philosophy program at Nipissing University offers an Honours Specialization, Specialization, Major, and Minor degree. The department is committed to providing a supportive environment for students and faculty, with a focus on student success and experience.
About the Position
The ideal candidate will have:
- completed or be near to completion of a Ph.D. in Philosophy
- evidence of excellence in teaching at the University level, with teaching competence in the history of philosophy
- an active research agenda in any area of Philosophy; however, the committee would be particularly interested in candidates with an AOS in ethics and public policy-related topics, who are able to contribute to the process of curriculum reform in Philosophy.
