Retail Buyer Job Description

Rex Beauty Inc. is seeking a skilled Retail Buyer to join our team. As a Retail Buyer, you will be responsible for arranging products according to planograms, establishing and maintaining contact with suppliers, and negotiating prices and discounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source and purchase merchandise for resale
  • Review requirements of the establishment and determine quantity and type of merchandise to purchase
  • Negotiate prices, discounts, credit terms, and transportation arrangements with suppliers
  • Maintain adequate stock levels

Requirements:

  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in the field
  • Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle heavy loads
