Job Title: Retail Buyer

We are seeking a skilled Retail Buyer to join our team at REX Beauty Inc. as a key member of our purchasing department.

Job Summary:

The Retail Buyer will be responsible for arranging products according to planograms, establishing and maintaining contact with suppliers, and negotiating prices, discounts, and credit terms. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work in a fast-paced environment, and have a strong attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Arrange products according to planograms to ensure optimal store displays
  • Establish and maintain contact with suppliers to negotiate prices and terms
  • Maintain adequate stock levels to meet customer demand
  • Negotiate prices, discounts, credit terms, and transportation arrangements with suppliers
  • Review requirements of the establishment and determine quantity and type of merchandise to purchase
  • Select and purchase merchandise for resale
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail
