Job Title: Retail Buyer

We are seeking a skilled Retail Buyer to join our team at REX Beauty Inc. as a key member of our purchasing department.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for arranging product according to planogram, establishing and maintaining contact with suppliers, and negotiating prices, discounts, credit terms, and transportation arrangements. They will also review requirements of the establishment and determine quantity and type of merchandise to purchase, as well as select and purchase merchandise for resale.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Arrange product according to planogram to ensure optimal store displays and customer experience.
  • Establish and maintain contact with suppliers to negotiate prices, discounts, credit terms, and transportation arrangements.
  • Maintain adequate stock levels to meet customer demand and minimize stockouts.
  • Review requirements of the establishment and determine quantity and type of merchandise to purchase.
  • Select and purchase merchandise for resale, considering factors such as quality, price, and availability.
Requirements:
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in retail or a related field.
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Valid driver's license and own transportation.
