Job Title: Retail Buyer

We are seeking a highly skilled Retail Buyer to join our team at REX Beauty Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for arranging product according to planogram, establishing and maintaining contact with suppliers, and negotiating prices, discounts, credit terms, and transportation arrangements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Product Management: Arrange product according to planogram to ensure optimal store displays and customer experience.
  • Supplier Management: Establish and maintain contact with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of products and negotiate prices, discounts, credit terms, and transportation arrangements.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain adequate stock levels to meet customer demand and minimize stockouts.
  • Market Analysis: Review requirements of the establishment and determine quantity and type of merchandise to purchase.
Requirements:
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a retail or purchasing environment.
  • Skills: Database software, spreadsheet, internet, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, sales, buying, merchandise needs analysis, market analysis, product selection, negotiation, distribution, product development, merchandising or window.
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced retail environment with a combination of sitting, standing, walking, and standing for extended periods. The ability to handle heavy loads and work in a physically demanding environment is required.
