Role Overview

A Senior Construction Project Manager is required to oversee commercial construction projects, particularly in healthcare environments. This role involves managing multiple sites, coordinating activities, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.

About the Job

This position reports to the Operations Manager and requires strong knowledge of construction processes, project scheduling, and reconstruction practices for properties affected by water, wind, mold, fire, and vandalism damage.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage multiple construction projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and resources to meet deadlines;
  • Coordinate with project managers, site supervisors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution;
  • Maintain detailed project schedules, monitor progress, and address any issues that may arise;
  • Ensure compliance with Canadian building codes, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical regulations;
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes;
  • Analyze data to inform project decisions and optimize resource allocation.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., construction management, engineering);
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in construction project management, preferably in the healthcare industry;
  • Proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards;
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide team members;
  • Proficiency in project management software, such as Xactimate; and
  • Familiarity with Canadian building codes and regulations.
