Director and Head of Global Business Initiatives

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Director and Head, Global Business Initiatives, GTB to lead our global business initiatives and drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities- Provide strategic leadership in the execution of global business initiatives, including project management, team leadership, and stakeholder engagement.
- Develop and implement business strategies to drive revenue growth, improve operational efficiency, and enhance customer experience.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, enterprise strategy, partnerships, and corporate development, to ensure alignment and effective execution of business initiatives.
- Oversee the development and implementation of annual profit plans, financial statements, and business expenses, ensuring alignment with Scotiabank's overall business strategy.
- Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of key projects and initiatives across the global footprint, including business case development, project implementation, and benefits tracking.
- Partner with marketing and global communications to develop and execute GBP marketing strategies.
- Engage and build relationships with stakeholders across product, technology, design, analytics, operations, risk, controls, finances, and lines of business to influence change and drive business growth.
- Create an environment that fosters effective and efficient operations, adhering to Scotiabank's values, code of conduct, and global sales principles.
- Lead a high-performance team, implementing a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops, and motivates team members, fostering an inclusive work environment, and using a coaching mindset and behaviors.
- Demonstrated relationship and partner management skills, with a client focus, and experience in client-facing situations.
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in management consulting and/or comparable enterprise strategy roles with a financial institution or fintech.
- Adept at strategic planning, including leading scoping activities and developing approaches for opportunity development and assessment.
- Hands-on experience with payments modernization programs, including Canada, US, UK, Australia, Europe.
- Deep payments expertise and acumen, well-versed in both business and technology, to serve as an efficient liaison between business strategy functions and key stakeholders.
- Expertise leading, recruiting, and managing a high-performing team.
- Strong business analysis skills and data-focused approach to business case development, including financial opportunity assessments and client needs analysis.
