Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse/Registered Psychiatric Nurse to join our team as an Advanced Mental Health Nurse Specialist. In this role, you will provide assessment, treatment, consultation and follow-up services to clients and their caregivers in a variety of settings.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mental health nursing and experience working with diverse populations, including geriatric mental health and youth developmental disabilities. You will work collaboratively with the interprofessional care team to provide person-centered and recovery-oriented care, and develop and implement treatment plans that address the unique needs of each client.

Responsibilities

- Provide clinical nursing services on a case management basis to clients and their caregivers
- Develop and implement treatment plans that address the unique needs of each client
- Collaborate with the interprofessional care team to provide person-centered and recovery-oriented care
- Liaise with relevant community agencies to plan and develop services for clients
- Educate professionals and caregivers on mental health and substance use issues related to the client population

Requirements

- Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse and/or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
- Two years recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
- Valid Class 5 B.C. Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage
