Immunization Program Specialist

The First Nations Health Authority is a leading health organization dedicated to improving the well-being of First Nations people living on-reserve in BC. Our team of healthcare professionals works closely with community health nurses and regional nursing consultants to provide direct support and capacity-building services.
Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Advisor, Immunization to join our team as an Immunization Program Specialist - Clinical Lead. In this role, you will work collaboratively with our team to establish and coordinate immunization programs, including capacity building, clinical support, ongoing education, and skills checklist assessments for community health nurses.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct support and capacity-building services to community health nurses and regional nursing consultants
- Establish and coordinate immunization programs, including capacity building, clinical support, ongoing education, and skills checklist assessments
- Develop and maintain nursing education plans
- Train and supervise programs for community health nurses, regional nurse consultants, and community immunization champions
- Act as a resource person/educator for health directors and healthcare personnel in First Nations communities regarding immunization programs
- Bachelor of Nursing with a community health component plus two (2) years of experience in Immunization programming and experience working with First Nations people
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification
- Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nursing Professionals (BCCNP)
- In-depth knowledge of Immunization programs
- In-depth experience as a Nurse Advisor (not a bed-side role)

LocationThis position is located in Metro Vancouver, with hybrid work options available. Candidates must live in B.C.
Salary RangeThe estimated annual salary range for this position is $86,981-$101,370 per year, depending on experience.
