Public Health Physician, Immunization Programs and Vaccine Preventable Disease Services Specialist
Job Summary:The Public Health Physician, Immunization Programs and Vaccine Preventable Disease Services Specialist provides medical leadership and expertise in the development and implementation of immunization programs and vaccine preventable disease services. This role works closely with the Medical Director, Immunization Programs and Vaccine Preventable Disease Services to provide medical guidance and support to the team.
Key Responsibilities:- Provides medical leadership and expertise in the development and implementation of immunization programs and vaccine preventable disease services.
- Works closely with the Medical Director, Immunization Programs and Vaccine Preventable Disease Services to provide medical guidance and support to the team.
- Develops and implements strategies to improve immunization rates and prevent vaccine preventable diseases.
- Collaborates with healthcare providers, community organizations, and other stakeholders to promote immunization and prevent vaccine preventable diseases.
- Provides medical consultation and advice to healthcare providers and other stakeholders on immunization and vaccine preventable disease issues.
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) from a recognized university.
- Postgraduate degree in Epidemiology or Public Health.
- Fellowship from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCPC) in Community Medicine or Internal Medicine or Pediatrics with Infectious Disease training.
- Registration or eligible for registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well in interdisciplinary teams.
