We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team at the University of Niagara Falls Canada. This is a key role that will play a crucial part in ensuring financial transactions are recorded accurately and that financial operations are running smoothly.

About the Role

The Senior Accountant position is responsible for the full cycle of accounting, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, and billing. You will record month-end journal entries, prepare monthly reconciliations, and provide financial statements and reporting packages. Additionally, you will become a subject matter expert on our Student Information System as it applies to finance and our Finance ERP.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze internal controls and processes to optimize results.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must possess a strong understanding of financial principles, accounting practices, and regulatory compliance. You should have proficiency in financial software applications and advanced ability in Excel. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders are essential.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of $80,000 - $100,000 per year, depending on experience.
