The Senior Range Safety Expert plays a vital role in ensuring the safety of personnel and equipment during training exercises at Corps Solutions.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Range Safety Expert to join our team. As a key member of our operations staff, you will be responsible for providing expert advice on range safety matters, conducting regular inspections, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines.

Your primary objective will be to identify potential hazards and take proactive measures to mitigate risks, thereby minimizing the likelihood of accidents and injuries. You will work closely with our site leads, operations chiefs, and scheduling offices to ensure seamless coordination and effective communication among all stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough inspections of ranges and training areas to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions;
  • Provide expert guidance on range safety protocols and procedures to ensure compliance with Marine Corps Orders and Range Regulations;
  • Develop and implement effective risk management strategies to minimize the risk of accidents and injuries;
  • Collaborate with our operations staff to ensure smooth execution of training exercises and events;
  • Review and approve special training requests to ensure they meet safety standards and regulations;
  • Supervise the normal functions of the range and training areas, including approving access and daily use for training, maintenance, and administration activities;
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of three years of experience in range safety, preferably in a military or government setting;
  • Strong knowledge of Marine Corps Orders and Range Regulations;
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English;
  • Proficiency in computer applications such as Windows 2000/XP and MS Office;
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment;
  • Certification in Range Safety distance learning course (MarineNet), RFMSS Functional Administrator course, Inter-Service Range Safety Course, and Range Manager Tool Kit (RMTK) ~ formerly Geographic Information System (GIS) for Range Managers Course;
Working Conditions

This is a physically demanding role that requires prolonged outdoor exposure to the elements, daily travel in training areas, heavy lifting (50 lbs. plus), and occasional operation of a snowmobile during winter months. You must also have a valid driver's license, current automobile insurance, and an acceptable driving record to qualify as an authorized company driver.

We offer a competitive salary of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
