Mintu Electronics Inc. is seeking a skilled Electrical Fitter to join our team. As an Electrical Fitter, you will be responsible for assembling and fitting metal and prefabricated parts to close tolerances according to blueprints.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assemble stators or armatures for heavy-duty electric motors
  • Collect, record and summarize inspection results
  • Interpret engineering drawings, electrical schematics and blueprints
  • Fit electrical control devices into switchboards and panelboards
  • Wire electrical connections for switchboards and panel boards
  • Monitor production and troubleshoot production problems
  • Check final assembly for adherence to quality control standards
  • Set up and adjust production machineries/tools
  • Provide customer service
  • Order office supplies and maintain inventory
Work Environment:

The ideal candidate will have a fast-paced environment and be able to work in a physically demanding role with repetitive tasks. The candidate must have attention to detail and be organized.

Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
  • Hybrid work environment
  • Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports Indigenous people
  • Offers mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers
  • Develops and maintains relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses and organizations
  • Provides cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers
  • Facilitates access to Elders who can offer support and guidance to Indigenous workers
