About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Pharmacist to join our team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a key member of our interdisciplinary care team, the successful candidate will provide direct pharmaceutical care to inpatients and outpatients, working closely with healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide patient counseling and medication monitoring services
  • Mentor students and participate in clinical pharmacy research
  • Liaise with community pharmacists and provide education and drug information
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of clinical policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • Graduate of a recognized School of Pharmacy
  • Eligible for registration with the Nova Scotia College of Pharmacists
  • Completion of a hospital pharmacy residency program or equivalent experience
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
  • Strong knowledge of medication patient safety therapeutics and concepts
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
