About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacist to join our team in Clinical Pharmacy Services. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring safe and effective drug therapy for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in and oversee drug distribution systems, including inpatient and outpatient services.
  • Supervise pharmacy support staff and identify and resolve drug-related problems.
  • Provide clinical pharmacy services, including drug regimen review, medication reconciliation, pharmacokinetic monitoring, and individual and group patient medication teaching.
  • Collaborate with the medical team to make therapeutic recommendations and provide discharge medication calendars and counseling to patients.
About You

We are looking for a Pharmacist with a strong background in clinical pharmacy practice, preferably with experience in a hospital pharmacy setting. You should have a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or an entry-level Pharmacy Doctor of Pharmacy from a CCAPP-accredited university, and be licensed to practice pharmacy in the Province of Nova Scotia.

  • Minimum two years of experience in clinical practice in a hospital pharmacy setting.
  • Strong knowledge of drugs and therapeutics.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to make accurate and timely recommendations regarding safe and cost-effective use of drugs.
Hours and Compensation

This is a permanent, full-time position with a 75-hour bi-weekly schedule. The hourly rate is $53.24, and successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
