Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as an Insurance Advisor. As an Insurance Advisor, you will be responsible for establishing personalized relationships with clients, educating them on our insurance products, and working with our agents to meet marketing goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establishes personalized telephone contact with the client to create a climate of trust conducive to the sale of a life insurance policy.
  • Works with the agent to establish and meet marketing goals.
  • Uses a customer-focused, needs-based review process to educate customers about insurance options.

Requirements:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Successful record of meeting goals/quotas.
  • Sales experience in Life Insurance.
  • Familiarity with all types of insurance plans.
  • Experience in delivering client-focused solutions and building relationships.
  • Interest in marketing products and services based on customer needs.
  • Ability to give presentations.
  • Ability to attract new clients and retain current ones.
  • Basic math skills.
  • LLQP license required/OTL or RIBO license required.

Qualifications:

  • College diploma in a related field an asset.
  • Previous insurance experience in various property and casualty disciplines, such as underwriting, claims, sales or service would be an asset.
  • OTL/RIBO Property and Casualty license (preferred/ must be able to obtain).
  • LLQP License (Required).
  • Prior sales experience an asset.
  • Valid Ontario drivers license.
  • Positive attitude.
  • Able to speak Cantonese/Mandarin is an asset.

These positions are with an independent contractor agent that is part of the Desjardins exclusive agent network, not with Desjardins Group or its subsidiaries.
