About the Role

Brown Boys Framing Ltd. is seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and renovating residential and commercial structures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Construction and Repair: Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
  • Woodworking: Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
  • Installation: Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
  • Surveying: Survey building locations and levels.
  • Training and Development: Instruct apprentices and provide guidance on best practices.
  • Maintenance and Renovation: Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various establishments.
Support for Diverse Groups
  • Mentorship: Offers mentorship programs that pair newcomers, refugees, youth, veterans, Indigenous workers, and visible minorities with experienced employees.
Work Environment
