Estate Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Estate Specialist to join our Operations team at Aviso Wealth. As an Estate Specialist, you will be responsible for reviewing, preparing, settling, and filing tax returns for client estate accounts.
This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. You will work closely with our partners to resolve escalations in a timely and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities- Perform estates settlements, journal processing, and issuance of tax documents for estates accounts
- Ensure all information and request channels are current and up-to-date
- Proactively offer assistance and maintain a positive attitude as a member of the team
- Review current processes of MFDA and IIROC estate settlements and make recommendations for improvement
- Ensure training checklist is up-to-date and current
- Provide regular status updates and highlight any items in backlog
- Review and ensure MFDA and IIROC checklists, departmental procedures, and manuals are current
- Actively participate in IIAC Committee meetings and stay current on CRA, RQ, HRSDC, and trustee regulations
- Provide support to the Estates Contact Centre by responding to partner inquiries and delivering fast, friendly, and efficient service
- Post-secondary education
- Minimum of 5 years' financial industry experience, preferably in Estates, Registered Plans, or Operations
- Industry knowledge of MFDA, IIROC, CRA, and RQ rules and regulations preferred
- Proactive problem-solving skills, strong analytical skills, and excellent communication skills
- Detail-oriented and accurate with a focus on quality assurance
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Outstanding customer service focus
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills in Word, Outlook, Excel
- Experience with Dataphile is an asset
- Fluent communication skills in English are required, and bilingual skills in French are an asset
