At Big Feet, we are seeking a highly motivated Medical Rehabilitation Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in the rehabilitation process of patients with various injuries or disabilities.

About the Job

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, healthcare professionals, and other staff members. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will be essential in maintaining accurate records and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.

We offer a competitive salary of $45,000 per year, commensurate with experience, plus benefits and opportunities for professional growth and development.

Job Description
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer evaluative tests and procedures to assess patient needs
  • Assist healthcare professionals in developing and implementing treatment plans
  • Carry out rehabilitation programs under the direction of physiotherapists and/or occupational therapists
  • Develop information materials for patients, including educational handouts and visual aids
  • Examine patients to identify areas requiring rehabilitation
  • Help physical therapists in planning and implementing treatment programs
  • Maintain accurate records of patient progress and treatment plans
  • Perform general clerical duties, including scheduling appointments and processing paperwork
  • Tutor and supervise patients in exercises and activities designed to promote rehabilitation
Requirements
  • Education: College diploma or certificate in a related field (1-2 years)
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a healthcare setting
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; strong attention to detail and organizational skills; ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
