Rehabilitation Assistant Role

Fraser Health is seeking a skilled Rehabilitation Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our rehabilitation team, you will work closely with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and nurses to provide high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement treatment plans and monitor patient progress under the direction of a professional nurse or therapist.
  • Provide functional skills training to patients and families in activities of daily living, mobility, and communication.
  • Assist with power and manual wheelchair mobility training.
  • Prepare and apply therapeutic treatment modalities as assigned by PT or OT.
  • Record and report relevant data for interpretation by the therapist.
Qualifications:
  • Completion of a Rehabilitation Assistant Program or equivalent education, training, and experience.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work effectively with others.
  • Physical ability to perform job duties.
  • Organizational skills.
