Job Title: Rehabilitation Assistant - Forensic Mental Health

BC Mental Health & Substance Use Services is seeking a skilled Rehabilitation Assistant to join our team in Port Coquitlam, BC.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and compassionate individual to work in our Forensic Mental Health program. As a Rehabilitation Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting patients with complex mental health and substance use challenges. Your primary responsibility will be to implement and evaluate psychosocial rehabilitative programs, working collaboratively with our inter-professional team to provide individualized care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement and evaluate psychosocial rehabilitative programs for patients with complex mental health and substance use challenges.
  • Work collaboratively with the inter-professional team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Conduct rehabilitation assessments and document patient progress.
  • Participate in the development of new program curricula and materials.
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
Requirements:
  • Graduation from a recognized recreational, rehabilitation, or related health or human services program.
  • Two years of recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid Food Safe Certificate.
  • Valid Class 4 BC Driver's License.
