Mental Health Rehabilitation Support Worker, Forensic Units
BC Mental Health & Substance Use Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Rehabilitation Support Worker to join our Forensic Units team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with complex mental health and substance use challenges.
What you'll do
- Implement established psychosocial rehabilitative programs to address the assessed needs of patients, promoting independence, socialization, and skill-building.
- Work collaboratively with inter-professional teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans, ensuring patient-centered care and promoting positive outcomes.
- Conduct regular assessments and document patient progress, providing essential information for treatment planning and evaluation.
- Maintain a safe and supportive work environment, adhering to industry standards and guidelines.
- Participate in ongoing professional development, staying up-to-date with best practices and research in mental health rehabilitation.
What we're looking for
- Graduation from a recognized recreational, rehabilitation, or related health or human services program, plus two years of recent related experience.
- Valid Food Safe Certificate and Class 4 BC Driver's License.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position, with a focus on patient safety and well-being.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, promoting a culture of respect and inclusivity.
