Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cook to join our team at CVH (No. 3) LP. The successful candidate will possess a strong background in culinary arts, with a focus on providing exceptional dining experiences for our residents.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook a variety of meals for our residents, ensuring high-quality dishes that meet our standards.
  • Manage kitchen inventory, ordering supplies as needed, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Collaborate with our dietary team to develop menus that cater to diverse tastes and dietary requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and handling regulations, maintaining a safe and healthy environment for our residents.

Requirements:

  • College/CEGEP education in culinary arts or a related field.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role, preferably in a retirement home setting.
  • Red Seal Certificate in Cookery and Safe Food Handling certification.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, standing for extended periods, and maintaining attention to detail.
