Position Overview

This role requires a driven and strategic sales professional with expertise in direct sales and a broad knowledge of the Industrial Packaging market. The successful candidate will be responsible for growing current and future distributor accounts, as well as engaging end-users to promote IPG products within Ontario, Canada. Key responsibilities include territory and sales call planning, account management, and monitoring results to achieve the annual sales budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain effective sales coverage for the territory and prioritize objectives for each account.
  • Establish and build relationships with distributor management and sales forces, focusing on Strategic Partners and Allied Distributors.
  • Train distributor sales forces on Intertape products, emphasizing end-user activity and market penetration.
  • Monitor sales vs. forecasts and trends in relation to company objectives and competitive activities.
  • Support marketing and product development by providing regular feedback on customer requirements, new market opportunities, and competitive developments.
  • Collaborate with customer service and the pricing team to resolve outstanding issues within 24 hours.
  • Document end-user focus through regular use of the customer relationship management software, ensuring quality targets, initiatives, and other sales activities are met.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • 3-5 years of sales experience with a proven track record of distributor relationships.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Technical skills in strategic planning and sales planning.
  • Competency with PowerPoint and MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and influence.
  • Sharp and innovative professional with exceptionally strong organizational and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to think ahead and plan over 1-2 year time spans.
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
  • Problem analysis and problem resolution at both a strategic and functional level.
