About the Role

The University of Toronto is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented HR Assistant, Workplace Investigations to join our team in the Division of People Strategy, Equity & Culture. This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and challenging environment, supporting the development and implementation of workplace investigations and human resources initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support in the organization of and participate in case management activities, including assisting with intake, triage, review, development of complaint documentation, engagement processes for internal and external investigations, post-investigation activities, including workplace restoration.
  • Provide support to the Workplace Investigations team on complaint files, assisting in maintaining documentation and correspondence, and compilation of data analysis for regular and ad hoc reporting requirements.
  • Provide support and participate in Workplace Investigations training, including assisting with the development of new training activities for the HR and broader University community.
  • Assist with file management (electronic and hard copy).
  • Assist with communication needs as appropriate.

Requirements

  • University degree with some postsecondary education in human resources management or industrial relations preferred, or acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 12 months of experience working with and interpreting HR policies, collective agreements, procedures and processes, an asset.
  • Knowledge and experience with learning management systems would be an asset.
  • Experience developing and delivering presentations and webinars.
