Job Title: Human Resources Specialist

About the Role:

The Human Resources Specialist will play a key part in delivering exceptional people experiences across the entire employee lifecycle. This role involves implementing key people strategy initiatives and projects, alongside providing support and advice to Managers in areas such as employee relations, policy, recruitment, employee engagement, learning and development, and DE&I.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement the agency people strategy which could include retention, reward and recognition, performance management, L&D, and other people-related initiatives to support business goals and objectives
  • Provide professional, business-focused, day-to-day people & culture services including performance management, grievance resolution, recruitment coordination, salary review advice
  • Support Director in preparing and delivering talent mapping and succession planning sessions with Leadership teams
  • Support end-to-end management of performance issues, grievances, complaints, claims, and investigations
  • Act as the agency point of contact when welcoming new starters
  • Drive specific culture/DE&I initiatives to foster a positive and inclusive culture supporting retention and employee engagement

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years experience in a Human Resources role (ideally in a multi-site, matrix organisation)
  • Experience across the whole employee lifecycle including recruitment, on-boarding, performance management, manager development, remuneration, and benefits, employee relations, and off-boarding
  • Intermediate working knowledge of employment law, including the Employment Standards Act, with the ability to apply this knowledge in workplace situations
  • Knowledge of visas and immigration (desirable)
